Mark: I think you misunderstand The tune was fine the IR's were the issue, swapped em out for coppers same gap same heat range same tune stumble gone.

Always had a stumble around Tq peak at high boost with IR's no matter how small I set the gaps. (I cheated a little and gave it some more advance around that zone and this helped but didn't cure it 100&#37;)

If it's "orbital" you have much bigger issues ;) (think you mean rotational) The PMoI on a 3" shaft is very low so no real gains to be made there it's a bit of a placebo effect. As I've said before most people are replacing Stuffed 2 piece shafts with a single piece so the improvment is...

Kenny: If you keep it out of detonation it shouldn't be an issue assuming everything is flat/true and the HG is tourqed correctly. (including a retorque)
