    Lucy - Im home!

Don't give in pete! Remember, building cars is always like this. Just take a deep breath, relax, and either take some time off to regroup or clear your mind, shake it off and just get it done. I know you know all this, because you've said it to me as well.

Got my new Lambo hinges today. They're huge!!

I quite like the vertical doors on vehicles with long ass doors, such as the mk3 supra. Can't wait to see some pics! However, I have one giant thing to bitch about: THEYRE NOT LAMBO DOORS, THEY'RE "SCISSOR" DOORS!! Basic door terminology: veritcal doors as found on lambos: scissor doors...

No Spark, Oil and carbon all over plugs (pics)

Yea, its a bit annoying. But I really don't care. If you want to be pompous and high and mighty, whatever, as long as you're contributing. All I care about is figuring out whats wrong, fixing it, and learning from it. While I know my way around cars, I've been around enough cars to know...

    system recomendations

Yes it does. Some of the Eclipse units (at least their models from a year or two ago) do too. However, I've got some audiocontrol stuff stashed away which i'll be using for xovers and equalizers. However the 8800 is such a gorgeous HU, and has so many other functions, as thats probably what...

    system recomendations

I'm using all my old stuff from 5 years ago (except sub), and it's a huge improvement over slightly improved stock. Before: Alpine HU (entry model from a few years ago, forget the model number) Infinity 4.25's all the way around Now: Pioneer HU (midrange, again forget the model) Infinity 6.5...

No Spark, Oil and carbon all over plugs (pics)

I found a set of coilpacks locally, put em in, and ignition! However, Sounds like there's a wood pecker in the back of the engine bay. The best i could figure out where the sound is coming from is the rear of the head. Its not a constant sound, real intermittent, but it does speed up as revs...

    Who's drunk right now!?

gin and tonic time! I was about to dip into my bombay saphire, but for a night like tonight, na, goin with the Seagrams Lime. $11 for a fifth. Damn good price! I was chattin with pete (weezl) while my drinking was occuring, but i also was listening to some opeth. And in typical opeth style...

Well the pack that does 3,5 has a fairly large crack on it, and theres no spark from 1 or 6. Might as well replace it. Ignitor and CPS are fine

Well JetJock, I was wrong, Tach doesn't wobble. Further verfied that with new plugs, and double checking the wires. So now I'm lookign for a replacement set of coilpacks....

    website feedback

not bad, but the left margin is def too big. It looks funny not having the gradient start at 0px on the left, instead its indented a bit.

I'm not sure how old the NGK's are that are in the car, so I'm going to go ahead and replace the plugs tomorrow. Needed to be done anyways, might as well just buy em

Being as I've never dug into a supra's electrical system, the best guide I have is the TSRM. Yes, the tach flickers, and no, no engine codes.

okay, checked the ignitor, its fine. Checked wiring to coils, they're fine. Checked plug wires, they're fine. That leaves the coil and plugs left. The way the TSRM says to test the coil is a bit vague, is there a better way of doing it?
