get servive manuals for both cars, and look in to what wires do what and match them up, i guess. I don't think the mkiv has 8-way adjustable, so you might not use all the wires. i would just like the seat move forward or backwards, personally.

About your 92'. Probably get what you paid for maybe less. Reasons being, it's non-targa, auto, and non-turbo. If this was the other way around... 10k easy. I would be willing to bet that you could part out just the interior and body for 4k or more. Some of us will practically kill puppies...
