Way to go guys. In just 5 weeks we have made back 60% of our original investment. We are that much closer to actually turning a profit on these calendars - and rolling that money back into the event for more fun stuff.
I am also proud to say that SupraMania has brought in the most sales...
Hey guys,
Just wanted to give everyone here a heads up. I am headed up to Seattle this weekend and we are getting a lunch gathering together for Saturday.
Day: 1/28/06
Time: Noon
Location:
Red Robin - Issaquah
1085 Lake Drive
Issaquah, WA 98027
I'll have the 2006 Supra Calendars...
Remember to consider the rise/run problem. The MkIII lines do not provide enough rise to get sufficient light onto the pavement with a fixed headlight (if the headlight is mounted where the stock lights are). A better option would be to relocate the lights to the nose (where the turn signal...
I am hoping to put together a site where all Supra events can be listed. Put together a banner (standard sizing) and I'll add it to the site. Will go up at Supras.org soon.
jebus: The problem with simply having a thread outlining the tech tip is there is generally too much discussion about the tip in question. The reader is forced to have to wade through a bunch of junk to get to the details.
The way I see this process working is as follows:
Model 1...
Satan: Work with this site to build the tech tips in a template form. Something that can be changed easily without rewriting each page. I am sure if the pages fit this template and are hosted on this server there would be no worries on using the logos.
Don't need your car. Just need transportation out there. It will likely be nicer inside than out. Come on out even without your car and just meet up with the rest of us.
Best of luck with the event Nelson.
Just remember... if you start getting too big I'll have to send the SILV Mafia after you. They are currently working on how to get Toronto to drop into the ocean so they stop having their events - they have the only event that has been running longer...
We should come up with a template so there is a single look and feel for all tech tips on this site. There could even be a way to make it match the forum look and feel so there is uniformity to the branding.
Haven't yet gotten to the wiring but have some theories.
Have to see if the stock low beam stays on when the high kicks on. If not there is a part at most auto parts stores to fix that.
A custom wiring harness will have to be created but should be really simple. You are basically taking...
Actually no PM necessary. Basically everything you wrote is pretty close to right on.
Things to keep in mind:
The motor itself cannot just be modified to raise up a certain height. The motor makes a full rotation from light off - light on - light off.
The "rod" and "arm" assembly...
Sabotage: Thanks for the backup on this.
Don't get me wrong... I am all for making something look cool for the sake of making it look cool - even if it doesn't increase performance.
What I am against is making something look cool just for the sake of making it look cool if it actually...
Suprastic: I've been working on getting the mounting for the Hella 90mm headlights for a number of years now. If you check out rallylights.com they actually have a mounting plate for the lights - you just have to figure out how to mount that plate in the bucket. This is a bit tricky but it...
I have to disagree with your assessment. They may be brighter than stock but there is no way you have the beam pattern of a low and a high. I would guess that you used a fog and a driving light in combination. These are both auxiliary lights meant to enhance the factory lighting.
Trust...
I would LOVE to see a VIN# piece added to this community. Having a VIN# could get you access to special areas/features of this site that the typical member wouldn't. This is just the tip of the iceburg.
The vin need not be required for membership though so we would not be discouraging...
SidewayzSupra - Please let me know any time you are coming to Portland so I can avoid driving at night.
My post on the other headlight thread:
PLEASE DO NOT GET CRITICAL PARTS JUST BECUSE THEY LOOK SLIGHTLY COOLER!
Would you buy a set of cardboard brake pads if they looked really kick...
