I drove my friends 60k mile supra, That was really interesting.
I would put a shit ton of mies on that car really fast.
A friend(local) owns a factory 1995 black on tan turbo 6 speed hardtop(1 of 18 T/6spd/HT), He says he can't bring himself to mod it. Shit, I even took him on the freeway :P
I guess that could be a successor but its such a piss poor shitty car, I like to overlook it.
And no, I'm not one of the people who consider a 700hp modified supra a supercar, its a supra with a stupid complex.
I see that side too, That is more of a super car in a sense it will compete with cheap Ferrari's and Gallardo's and some 911's and the Audi R8, but none the less, the lines between GT car and sports car and even super car is a thin one at least.
I just want to hear it rip around the track some...
How would it have no relation in succession? Toyota's last sports car was the Supra. They have not had a powerful car since for the single ideal of "sportyness"(to weed out the 5.7 liter Tundra), since it was discontnued in the late 90's to North america and 2002ish in Japan.
Loose relations...
Toyota has never revived a dead marque, It will not be a supra.
Is it the successor to the supra? Hell yes, theres no denying that. But It will not be called "Supra"
