Pull all of the spark plug wires off the plugs, and look into the holes? Is there any oil or water accumulating? If so, that'll cause engine cutout under anything more than light throttle. Dry out those areas by pushing in paper towels with a long screwdriver. That area must be bone dry.

Fuel cut on a regular CT is usually around 10-12, but once you swap out to Lex and 560's, that all changes. I wouldn't be trying to ask for more than 15psi out of any CT, regardless. Check for boost leaks already. It takes all of ten minutes.

Not sure what you mean by the third part in the middle of the valve cover? As i mentioned, the valley cap bolts were all tight.

If this engine is not running, check to make sure that the oil pump driveshaft pulley is ok.

So, I pulled the head this afternoon. Both surfaces looked good, as did the gasket. In fact, the gasket looks perfect- none of the viton even broke. However, it seemed like the entire surface of the gasket was oily, as was the deck surface, so I think that the oil passages weren't sealing...

In a configuration controlled by the stock ecu, is a DH61 igniter a viable option? And if so, is there any benefit to it over the original igniter? I was never clear on this.

Same bolts for 7mge and 7mgte. No metallurgical or dimensional differences between either engine's block or head as well.

I've never heard of a 7mge running on the turbo electronics.

Well, here's an update. I ordered mine from Toyotapartsonline. They later emailed me, saying that they couldn't find one, so i have cancelled my plan to swap out the gear. after talking to Toyotanos though, he says that he doesn't feel that its a necessary mod anyway, unless you have big cams...
