What would be most beneficial would be measurements to the suspension and fender rubbing. That way you could plug in the measurement/offset for any wheel and width/sidewall of any tire and find out if it would rub somewhere.
You'd need different measurements based on stock height and average...
Ahhh... sorry.
The 89+ nose could be modified to remove the center top piece so that it is open and flat like the 88s.
Don't use Bondo though. It won't flex right and will crack out.
check out www.urethanesupply.com and get your self some FlexFiller to smooth out the marks made from...
It is official. The main coordination team for SILV07 is set. This means that SILV continues to be coordinated by Supra owners representing the MkII, MkIII, and MkIV generations. This is something that I am very proud of.
Our coordination Team for SILV07 is:
Bob S (CA) - MkII - Dyno...
As long as we use any lights on the road there will always be times where our lights will be shining directly into the eyes of the oncoming traffic (another example is when I am coming up to the top of a hill and so is the oncoming traffic).
I'll stop acting like I've tried this mod when you...
This is actually not true. The E-code lights have a cleaner cut-off than the standard sealed bulbs. Those nicer lenses are actually keeping more light from blinding the oncoming drivers due to the... wait for it... "SHIELD!" You know that thing you removed from your fog light? This shield...
Having a car with no car payment is an incredible thing. I miss those days. My current car payment for my 06 Solara Drop Top could have covered $500/month in Supra upgrades and I would have had the option to not spend money on the Supra for a month and do something else. Now I am stuck in a...
You say you don't like "old" cars but you are wanting a MkIV? Hate to burst your bubble but the MkIV IS an "old" car.
What don't you like about "old" cars?
Is it the Maintenance? I'm sure you'll find that the good "old" MkIVs also have their fair share of maintenance issues depending...
Many people have done this (but I haven't paid any attention to any problems with it).
Lumpy is correct - at speed this will act as a cowl induction (higher pressure at the base of the windshield will push air into the engine (rather than letting it out).
I'll second that. Try driving up Baker Grade on the way from LA to Vegas. 16 miles straight up. That will really test your cooling system - even before noon.
My 89T has left me stuck exactly twice since the Spring of 1996. The first time was due to the clutch (had to be replaced two days after I purchased the car) and the second was due to a split hose (that I could have fixed with a roll of duct tape and limped home).
I've put nearly 140,000...
Thanks for standing with me guys. :)

Woah! What I said was "get a good set of headlights". You know the H4 ones. You do know that the stock headlights in a MkIII Supra are H4 (they are simply sealed beams rather than the open style where you can just replace the bulb instead of replacing the entire lens). Also please notice the...
Twigger - What exactly are you trying to accomplish here?
You sound like you want better lighting but you are monkeying around with something that is not designed to do what you want.
To me it sounds like you want to drive around full time without putting your headlights up - this is the...
How are you judging that they are "still aimed low towards the ground"?
Removing the shield will not change that in any way. It will allow light to be shone upwards - in other drivers eyes.
Park in front of a wall with just your foglights on. In factory form your light hitting the wall...
I was going to say "Google is your friend!" Learn to Google.
I found several kits (including the one mentioned above) in a 3 second search. Installation doesn't look that bad - unless you try to rip one out of an existing car and try to retrofit it into your Supra.
You really shouldn't be seeing the sides of your Supra in your side view mirrors anyway.
Stolen from another site...
Many of us learned to position the outside left and right side-view mirrors by adjusting them until you just view the side of the vehicle while sitting in the driver's seat...
The true definition of a fog light has more to do with the beam pattern than the height.
You also have to watch out for melting the actual wires with a higher wattage bulb.
WOW! You want to head on over to Ford and tell them they are wrong? They call them Fog Lights on the website - and in the manual (yes, I have a friend with a Rustang GT).
How about the MkIV Supras that have those silly lights at the same level as the headlights - yes, those are fog lights...
