The covers under the fog lights are not part of the main undercover. You won't have any trouble "blowing" those off as long as you have them secured properly.

I don't know who this was or where they were but I have heard that the Supra in question was 100% bone stock at the time.

I agree. If you must have keyless entry then your best option today is to get an aftermarket alarm. All of the TDSE kits are gone. You might still be able to find one on Ebay or something but it is a very rare item to find these days - like finding an HKS TEMS controller.
