I was crazy once. They put me in a rubber room. Filled with rubber rats. It drove me crazy. I was crazy once. They put me in a rubber room. Filled with rubber rats. It drove me crazy. I was crazy once. They put me in a rubber room. Filled with rubber rats. It drove me crazy. I was crazy once...
Not that this is rock solid evidence, but this web site also believes in the idea that ABS became standard on turbo models in 91. Maybe you can e-mail them and ask if they know for sure.

It's a cool idea for people doing a Turbo A replica. But to me, putting it your car just seems like posing. Like those guys that put type r badges on there honda or GTR on there skyline when it isn't the GTR edition. It's a cool idea and I might get one to put on my tool box. So I say go for it.
1988 Buick Park Avenue 212k on the odo and still running strong. I love my Lazy-boy seats, and the horn that sounds like it's off a freaking freight train.
Man, I completely missed that. Here I fixed it. ;)

I'd love to do the 2JZ swap just for the challenge of doing it. Not because it's different, but because it's difficult. I love the 2JZ design, and firmly believe it was put in to the wrong body. MKIV is just an over grown jelly bean. The MKIII just has a look that is serious, sharp, and clean...
There damn near impossible to get in a parts store, so be careful not to break them. There a dealer item and my dealer was 4 weeks out. So I said screw it and ripped the EGR stuff out. This was when I was in Colorado, now I'm in Cali and wishing I hadn't done that.
Dude!! Keep typing that much and you'll end up killing your keyboard. Then the Keyboard Protection Agency will have your ass for abuse of the endangered keyboard. Be Careful they keep an eye on post whores. :D
It's becomming a thing of beauty my man. It will be putting down some sweet numbers soon. I remember when you got that car, it had me so jelouse, but you've been doing an aswome job with it. Keep up the good work.
BVSV stands for Bimetal Vacuum Switching Valve. It's a thermal vacuum switch which uses temperature(coolant temp in our cars) to activate or deactivate the vacuum switch.
I had a pretty good idea of what the diffrences in the turbo A were. What I was wondering was if the evolution version was another name for the Turbo A, or if it was something diffrent.
I was digging through this artical:
http://www.explore-cars.com/motor_vehicles/T/Toyota_M_engine.html
and read this:
7M-GTE
The turbocharged 7M-GTE was Toyota's top performance engine from 1987 through 1992. Output was near 230 hp (172 kW) at 5600 RPM and 240 ft.lbf (325 Nm) at 4000...
It looks like they took a model of another car and painted it up to look like the MKIII.
On a side note I didn't know the GA70 only came with hubcaps. You learn something new every day. The GA70 must have been the black sheep of the MKIII family. It was deprived of everything.
