Yes, retorque after 5 heat cycles with both bolts and studs. Even once used ones.
It is best NOT to boost it during the those five heat cycles. Not really a matter of mileage.
After the retorque, pedal to the metal! ;)
This is just a thought; but, you might want to be careful not to stiffin it up too much. You'll want some flex to reduce the chance of breaking.
Is it red already?
Wut up Matt! I have a new belt on the bench already; but, thanks!
As far as the lip, I have a couple of the stock ones, I just haven't put one on yet because I figured I'd wait until I got the one I wanted.
So how do you like your new lip? I SOOOOO want to get one. Did you get yours...
Bummer man. I almost cried when my 87 was totalled.
Post some pics and take the advice on this thread. It's all good advice!
Man we're a bunch of smart guys and gals! Everyone give yourself a pat on the back and let out a loud HOOOOOORAH!!! :biglaugh:
I am an olympus man. I own the Evolt E-300. What I like about the olympus is the price! It will perform to 'most' amature's standards. What is also nice about the Olympus line is that the image stabilization is built in to the body so no matter what lens you put on it, you'll have IS. As...

I got it all re-aligned then noticed a small tear in the center of my timing belt. I'll be replacing that soon!
Anyway...

In reference to the link: I'm at ~650' above sea level and pulling a SOLID...
Idle was more like ~500; but, yeah. I waited for it to warm up and after the ECU "leveled" out, I adjusted again.
After my last adjustment, it was right at 10*BTDC at ~600 rpm with the jumper in and it went to ~15* with the jumper out.
I still have that loud rattle.
I then rotated the...
I just got back in from doing that. And the mark is at the top of the zero. Not in the center of the zero.
Dumb question here; but, where should the mark land EXACTLY while the piston is all the way up?
Thanks for the link!
Ok. Got it all lined up and timed. She's purring like a kitten.
New problem though. Now there is a horrendous rattle coming from/near the CPS. I'm going to switch back to my other CPS to rule that out. If the rattle continues after I replace the CPS, I'll pull the valve cover and do some...
