Well I can understand where the tuner is coming from on the whole timing issue. The stock ECU has timing maps for up to 12psi. Past there the ECU just runs the 12psi maps. You can manually retard the CPS but this retards timing across the whole range idle to redline. The tuner is talking about...

I would avoid JVC if you can. The protection circuit of the internal amplifiers is poorly designed, and makes them easy to blow. They can wear out quickly if not setup exactly right. Pioneer or Alpine would be a very good way to go.

I've hear that copper is the best material for a sparkplug in a turbo charged engine. I've heard it has something to do with the way the copper dissipates the additional heat in boosted applications. Can anybody confirm or deny this and perhaps elaborate a little more on the subject.

You don't need it if you like vibrations in your driveline and shifter handle. Personally I'd leave it there because at certain RPM's the driveline can vibrate at certain frequencies that can be really annoying. That part is there to minimize that.
