thats where i got my idea from. so giving credit where credit is due: thanks for the idea, ernest!
anyway, MKIIINA, looking for something cleaner than that, more of a flush mount like in figgies link.
thanks justin, exactly what i needed to know. figit - already got those seat covers :).
think of it this way, i spend 400 on n2o and that gives me an excuse to go turbo.
like justin said, i wasnt gonna be using it constantly, just a squirt here and there, maybe an interstate on ramp or...
nitrous: for 400 bux i can get at least a few good times, compared to 2000. yeah, i should go turbo, but i just need a little more power while i wait. anyone have anything to contribute?
might be able to make molds of the old mouldings, and pour a clear resin in it afterwards? only problem would be bubbling inside.
on a different note, you might be able to shape lexan/plexi with a shitload of patience and a torch. this seems like its gonna be a ton of work. ill try and...
its me again. and ive got my flame suit already on.
anyway, it seems that on here, the general consensus is to only use a 50- to 75-shot nitrous system on a stock engine. i was wondering if that sounded agreeable to everyone here. i'm looking for a small power gain on my NA just for kicks...
use the search button, chief. there was a .pdf around here with all the necessary info you'd need, from the type of bolt to the style head to the length. got anything you need to go. and as far as what size bolts go in certain things...sounds like a personal problem to me.
its gonna be tough, thats for sure. i saw a honda with a type-r third brake light. the words type-r illuminated with the brakes. if you are gonna make a glow moulding, it might be easier to find someone to make a full set. front, sides, and rear. that way you could have integrated bulbs...
i know. wouldn't dream of keeping them on there. this is just a test run so i dont screw up some great gauges with shoddy fiberglass, right? kinda like getting a beater and learning how to jump drawbridges, or something along those lines.
good luck with that. if IJ couldn't figure out a good way to do it, it's likely that one doesn't exist. or one that wouldn't require a heavy redesign plan.
bad joke right here:
doctor (to patient): im sorry sir, youve only got five minutes left to live.
patient: oh doctor, that's terrible! is there anything you can do for me?
doctor: ...well, i could boil you an egg.
i just didnt want to have to do any welding right off the bat. would i be able to tap into existing wires/sensors for a water temp gauge and an A/F gauge?
beaut weezel. thats exactly what i was going for. if i wasnt such a noob at photoshop id have hit it closer. any way you could make the wheels gray(er)?
right, but what i was getting at was: making a whole new, smoother face to go with my head unit and climate control, and i had hoped to mount some gauges in the new piece.
which could i use without extra sensors? i know of the water temp (i guess). with egt, id have to have another...
