Interesting. Thanks for the tip. so you're saying they DO have longer harnesses available?
btw, sorry to go OT just a bit. I haven't talked to anyone that had more than 1 defi gauge in the car.
See, that's the thing. I had A-pillar gauges before as well and I don't want to do that again.
I asked specifically 'cause you I saw you had defis and I know they can only be so far apart. I want the boost gauge on the steering column, but I'm not sure if I'll have enough slack to get the...
yeah, the difference in power isn't all from the fact that that's a 2J car. Just showing what is possible with the turbo once everythings sorted out. Pretty sure EVOs have made that kind of power as well and that's a 2L.
You'll get there. :]
I just got word that my wheels were found in Japan.
If I didn't already mention it before in the thread, they are Advan SA3R wheels. I found a set about a month ago and called in to go look at them. Unfortunately, they were already sold by one of the other employees by the time I got off...
Way back when in the earlier days of 1J swaps when this one was done, putting AC back in the car wasn't done often. It's not like I can't have it put back in. When the spring/summer heat hits, I'll deal with it. Small problem to deal with for all the positive things I bought the car for. :]
If a clean 92 HT car is what you were really looking for, the auto tranny would be the least of your worries. 5spd swaps isn't too much trouble.
and it's shadow grey interior? who cares about the auto tranny!?
I agree. 371 isn't too bad for the first shakedown session. GT35R is definately capable of a good bit more than that.
I'm interested to see what you guys find in the head. Once everything's operating the way it should, hp and tq numbers should be relatively close.
