ive heard cleaners will mess it up bad, i didnt wanna come near it. ill recalibrate it, just didnt know how hard it was gonna be. here's the progress. 1st pic, cleaned up. 2nd pic, where pipe leads. 3rd pic, comes out where the maglite is.
budget, ive already got the upper intake cleaned out all nice. its not sparkly but itll sure breathe easier. got the lower intake soaking right now, it's cleaned up great. last two parts are the y-pipe and the throttle body.
ive been hesitant on taking off the TPS, how hard is it to recalibrate?
salright, i'm stumped. the damn pipe runs all the way from the part in question under the cover to the entrance of the upper intake closest to the driver.
also, what position does the acis get installed in? its closed when started, but which way does it open?
neo, are you talking about keeping the brace in the car where the targa is kept in the trunk? i think a few people have designed one that stashes in the same storage space as the targa.
you're serious? i thought pic 3 was the cold start injector. pic 1, you can see the cover plate up top and the part in question right down the center at the divide. pic 2 shows a smaller pipe running on the bottom of the y-pipe.
whats the small pipe cast into the y-pipe, leading to something sticking into the center of the pipe and covered by a plate with 4 screws?
should i take it all out before dropping the y-pipe into the parts washer?
bad connections/bad starter? when you pushed it you just skipped the starter step altogether, so id say it's either died or the connections aren't too good. i havent gotten to mine yet, i decided to take the whole intake off and change some gaskets while the car was down.
