What if you relocated the pressure sensor into a pressurized section of tubing to get the pressure sensor, or possible calibrated a MAP sensor to output the correct signal to the ECU, instead of using the HAC as an atmosphere pressure sensor?

N/A is 4.30:1, 87-88 Turbo is 3.91:1, 89-92 Turbo is 3.73:1.
Auto, N/A Manual, and Turbo Manual trannies all have different gear ratios for each gear too.
Yeah, I'm just saying that the data tag with all that information, tranny code, diff code, color code, has your VIN on it, which should definitely read MA71 if you have a Turbo. I believe it also has the model code on it, which will have MA70 IIRC.
No, all the VIN numbers should match, if the one on that data tag doesn't match the rest of the car, it was probably changed so that the insurance would think it's an N/A, that's my guess.
The chassis stamp and VIN are 2 completely different things, and the VIN numbers on all parts of a car...
5M crank is shorter stroke to make the 2.8L.
6M crank is a 91mm stroke crank, and is the same as all 86-89 7M-GE and 7M-GTE cranks, in fact the early 7M's have 6M stamped onto the crank, it's the same part number.
90+ 7M's have a new crank, affectionately called the "7M" crank, it's 5lbs...
The Celica GT-S had the same wheels and fender flares. Also, early 82's only say "Supra" on the side, not "Celica Supra".
The easiest way to tell is by looking at the front end and headlights.
