Always better to keep heat IN the pipes, so if you can swing the extra $50, it's a good idea. ;) Also, $68 currently on Driftmotion for that throttle cable. Camry one from a junkyard costs about $5, but it won't be the prettiest thing. Truth be told I don't even notice mine anymore.

Cooling, I bought a 2j water pump assembly from Driftmotion, because my JZA70 motor set didn't come with the hydrofan. If you're gonna run a bigger radiator than stock, you're likely gonna have to go with an electric fan. I have the PWR radiator in my car, it's damn near twice as thick as stock...

Hmm, you know, I suspect I've been hearing a rod knocking in the 6m in my Mk2, the thing is slow as balls anyway (altitude does NOT like engines without top end power). Perhaps someday I'll toss one of these in, it does sound like a lot of fun, and I do imagine the Mk2 chassis would be a blast...

Put a decent set of lightweight 17's on your car and you'll fix a lot of the problem here... Might as well attach an anchor to the car if you're gonna run a wheel that heavy. ;)

Possibly your actuator is sticking, this happened to me on occasion on my old 88. Try pushing up on the bottom of the metal rod of the actuator a few times and see if it unsticks itself. ;)

Newer Cobalts (09+ I believe) are turbocharged, same motor that was in the Solstice GXP and Sky Redline. 2.0 DI Turbo Ecotec, 260hp. Seem like pretty good little motors if you ask me, about up to 1999 Nissan SR20 standards. :p
