No I thought i could use it because if it runs of off thick 15w 50 it will run off of 5w 40. Be easier for the engine to move the oil around when cold

So I'm thinking that the 5w 40 will work. If it can take the punishment I put in my truck it should handle the supra.

I heard people like to run 5w 40 synthetic in the 7mgte I run it in my 7.3 diesel I know it's great oil. Will it work great in these engines too.

Yes I'm going to putting the engine together myself also. Should I get a valve job. Or just let them machine the head and clean it. Also when you say over a thousand do mean just machine work or including the hg and studs

I'm just wondering what the machine shops charge to to deck the head. Do a valve job put new bearings and rings in. All stock spec no boring over. 1,000 is not bad
