Yeah I feel like a dick now.
Out of pure curiosity why is it I'm the only one who frowns on the use of plastiguage? I think that shit is the worst invention to use for machining!
meh.....i knew what was being said and or being asked.....and i knew what he meant by journals.....i didnt feel the need to debait or argue or correct for that matter....
and plastiguage is for noobs...aka shady tree mechanic....someone who really gives a damn would toss that shit out and get...
acetone will fuck up your paint and probably ruin interior plastics......best thing ive found so far is a crap load of windex and plenty of sharp flat razor blades
fidanza make flywheels for the n/a and the turbo.....i just ordered one for my mge.....
this is where i got it.. www.a2motorsports.net ask for chris
and 450hp isnt way past the limit on a w58....it maybe pushing the limit but im sure youll get by for quite awhile if you dont dump the clutch...
I need to pull out my sunroof to find out who makes it and see if it can be rebuilt...can the head liner be removed without hurting it? And how does one remove it?
that would be very hard to get the thermo out without takeing the gasket with it!!! I think it would be damn near impossible LOL cause the gasket is to be slipped on around the thermo and then to be placed in the houseing as one....I just replaced my thermo and I noticed that the little recess...
actually ive read it many times...I think you need to gander over it again! Not once did he mention noise from the "cock pit", what he DID say though was that he hears his REAREND makeing noise...and I'll bet its a clunking noise or even a sharp pinging sound...
Get some friction modifier...
its not the ge journals that's the issue...its the fact your useing journals from another motor....motors all have their own fingure print so to speak...what certain part might work in one block may not work in another without resizeing to match them....so if you use those journals you will most...
