Ya I might just go for a mhg I'm gunna start buying parts for the rebuild soon. Start with the little stuff like the studs and rob bolts, engine gasket set, I can't wait to tear this beast out of my car
7m is a stout motor once the hg is fixed. Before you put all those upgrades to the engine you should really consider refreshing the engine. I wouldn't want to put 200 more hp and 18psi to a engine that has 20 years if age.
Go through the engine take the head off. Get that cleaned and...
I now about the mod bug. Happen with my 7.3 diesel. And if u think supra parts are expensive.... Diesel is in a whole different league I can rebuild my supra with good parts for less then a set of injectors for my truck.., never mind the 140.00 oil changes lol
Ya I'm not looking to go over 15 psi but if the engine is out of the car I might to mhg or composite. Idk yet but knowing ur running 16 psi on a composite is not a bad thing
I was just wondering what my options are I know 2 other supra running 15 psi on composite hg with arps for over 2 years I was just wondering what your opinions are on composite hg with arps
I know most people run mhg and arp studs. I'm gunna be running arp studs and rod bolts with new bearings when I do the engine over.
My current mods are
Fmic
3 in exhaust
Intake
Gauges
And a downpipe coming in soon
Future mods are
550/Lexus
Walboro pump
Fpr
And a 57 trim
My question...
Rust sucks period. I had rust the lower of the passenger door and the passenger rear fender. The wheel wells had holes in them. Luckily I bought the car before it got bad I cut the rust holes out of the weeks and welded in new ones. Then the painter fixed the fender and door he cut most of it...
My antenna doesn't work at all. I read because once u put aftermarket radios u need to wire the amp turn on wire the the antenna motor so it will go up. I might just replace it with a universal stubby antenna. That might be something u might want to look into
Nope I'm fully restoring mine. Hasn't been on the road yet. I have a build thread on her check it out its called 89 mk3 project.
We should meet up some time my car will be on the road soon.
Got any pics of yours
No it took me 10 min to do. Just pop the cluster out flip it over with the wires still connected. Swap out 1 bulb at a time see if works do the next bulb and so one. Took 10 min tops
