I still have some original Clevite 7m bearings laying around, but I will not come off of them. The "new" Clevites are more than enough bearing for 90% of all 7m rebuilds. The highest hp 7m I know of runs std clevite bearings spinning at over 9000 rpm.

Yes they do. I never use true gas porting on anything other than alcohol drag race only pistons for that very reason. Gas motor will plug the porting solid with carbon in no time. Most of my experience is with nitro, never use gas porting for nitro because the last thing we want in the world...

No, you are correct on that IJ. These are not a true gas porting. They only have the crank case on the oil ring.
