I'm looking at buying an engine from a company outside of Toronto that gets all of their engines directly from Japan. Is there any real difference between a US import engine and a JDM engine, or are they essentially identical? Thanks!

The paint it ok on mine. It's not great, but it'll do for the time being. Mostly what I'm looking for is someone to go over the car and really clean up the lines. There are a few spots that just aren't right and it drives me nuts.
