Good idea, dont use the cork, you should have plenty as long as you dont make the bead too thick. Also, make sure to run the bead around the inside of the bolt holes, so oil won't start seeping out of them.

You use it for the valve covers in the corners on the ends and a couple spots where the block meets timing cover, but not on the head gaskets. But you knew that right? It is the right stuff! A very light film all around the v/c's works good too.

Does it idle right? If its a vac leak you can find it by spraying carb clean around and rpms will jump if you spray it at a leak.

When they are in early stages of failure, often times backing off will aid it in shifting, when theyre gone, you have to rev the shit out of it to get it to the...

mine went from delayed shift to slipping hard in a few days, hard to tell by your description though, what happens if you stay in gas, revs higher but no go faster?? What does it rev up to?

Start with easy stuff, make sure all your connectors on the drivers side engine harness to trans are plugged in, not damaged. Check solenoids, check continuity in wiring from ect ecu to solenoids.

yup, 1 connecter , real easy. If it is electrical, you will have to go through some troubleshooting by tsrm to find the cause. It is usually mechanical though! I have heard of people on here have ecu problem, and solenoid also, but personally, every bad one i've seen is bad trans.
