    What does the BVSV do?

Yeah neither have I, just seen the diagram for it in the EPC. On my 4A-GZE (J-spec 91 model) I don't have anywhere I can put a BVSV onto it, so I need to know if I should just attach vacuum to the Charcoal Canister, or if I need to do something else. I can't find any J-spec information for the...

    What does the BVSV do?

Not all A70's had a charcoal canister. in all countries, and in Japan they didn't use a BVSV. Some countries had a check valve of some sort with some hoses, but no canister. Does anyone have the diagrams/description for the Japanese and/or European evap systems? Just curious, as I'd like to see...

Guage cluster and climate control lights turn off when head lights are on

Rheostat not plugged in, turned down all the way, or broken. Check that it's not turned down, check that it's plugged in, then try replacing it. If none of these things fixes it, chances are you have some wiring issues. Jeff

    2500 twin turbo

It was painted/silk-screened onto the factory valve covers, not sure I've ever seen any stickers available that replicate it. Jeff

She gave me her home number?

I had a cell phone before, for work. After I quit the job, I left the cell behind. I enjoy some of the conveniences, however I find them very annoying. Especially when others are using them while I'm doing something with them. Although nothing is worse than texting! WTF is that crap? Total...

2j swap flywheel question... Cookie to someone who can answer this quick.

As was said, do not use the flexplate spacers. They are for the automatic flexplate only. Not the manual flywheel. Jeff

    Machine deck with shortblock assembled?

The marks are not on the caps, but rather on the block, see pic in IJ's post. I've seen quite a few blocks with different sized main bearings. Guess you've been lucky! Not that it matters that much if you're building a block, since everything should be checked anyways. Jeff

    Which crank pulley?

ATI needs a different belt. Boost Logic no longer makes their own, they sell ATI. Don't know much about Fluidamper. So between the ATI and the Boost Logic, if you want new, you'll have to get ATI, if you can find a used Boost Logic one, you can use the stock belt (If I remember correctly)...

For those running an ATI damper with all accessories....

The part numbers I've provided are for the ATI pulley, not the stock belt size, as per the question asked, lol. Jeff

    2JZGTE VVT-i On A MKIII

No harder than any other 2JZ swap. Mechanically it is bolt in, electrically you need to do about the same modifications as any other 2JZ swap. People don't do it because non VVT-i ones are more available and cheaper. Plus a lot of people want to modify things and controlling VVT-i at that point...

    Machine deck with shortblock assembled?

    No, Toyota uses select fit for both. The Block Main Journal Bore had 3 sizes from the factory: 1 = 64.024 - 64.030 mm 2 = 64.031 - 64.036 mm 3 = 64.037 - 64.042 mm The Crank Main Journal Diameter also had 3 sizes from the factory: 0 = 60.007 - 60.012 mm 1 = 60.001 - 60.006 mm 2 = 59.994 -...

    Rear-End Codes in the VIN

Yes it will fit, any MK3 rear end will fit in any MK3 (assuming it is a North American MK3). Your speedometer will read incorrectly if you do change it though. Jeff

    Rear-End Codes in the VIN

Answer is it's not in your VIN, whoever told you it was in there was incorrect. It is on the data tag/sticker (firewall for 86-88, door sill for 89-92). It will read A/TR: XXXX/YYY. X = Axle code, Y = Transmission Type. Jeff
