    86.5 Oil pressure gauge

Is your climate control in F or C? Does your fuel gauge say "Unleaded Fuel Only" on it? Is your speedometer in km/h or MPH? If it's just your oil pressure gauge, I'd say someone swapped it, if it's everything, I'd say you probably have a Canadian car. Post a picture further away and less...

    new option for 7mgte coils?

I'd just like to say that looking into this further, it appears that while the waveform input to the igniter does require a certain dwell time, the igniter still does control the dwell of the coils itself. Which is somewhat strange, haha. Jeff

Can't believe this is from my city, gold decals mkiv.

It's definitely the same car from 2 Fast 2 Furious. The hood is a dead giveaway, however it is not a Top Secret kit, it is the TRD widebody with the TRD spoiler. Looks like the picture of the one on Grandma's Boy had the front bumper damaged and/or lip removed or something. Not sure how...

What is the part # for this

I really wish Toyota sold some of the harness parts (hold down clips, this piece) separately, but they don't. Jeff

    Oil leak on my 2jz

If it's higher up, I'd suggest it could be power steering fluid. There is an o-ring that seals the suction fitting to the pump (hose from the reservoir goes to it). It is common for this to leak. I'd suggest cleaning the engine off, and trying to find where the leak is. Jeff

TRD shift knob on ebay(trust worthy?)

It's not cheap enough that I'd consider it fake. It's about normal price for those knobs. Looks real. Jeff

87 and late 89 motor mounts

You need the late 89 mounts on the late 89 brackets. Everything should match the crossmember that is in the car you are trying to put the motor into. Nothing should be mix/matched. Jeff

    JZA70 Torsen Differential Help!

Nothing, you should have everything, just bolt it in. (You will need some gear oil to fill it.) Jeff

    new option for 7mgte coils?

Charge is started on the rising edge of the signal wave, spark is triggered on the falling edge. The time between those two is the dwell. The igniter can handle much more power than the ECU can. Jeff

    JZA70 Torsen Differential Help!

No they're not. The half shafts are identical. The axle stubs in the differential are different, but chances are they came with the diff. Jeff

Are you sure it was a knock sensor? LOL. Jeff

    new option for 7mgte coils?

I missed this before, but no, none of them are smart igniters. All are ECU-controlled dwell, as are most newer igniters. Jeff

    new option for 7mgte coils?

    Sorry my mistake. I didn't say what I was thinking, lol. Camry/ES300 = 8/8 pin connectors Supra/Avalon = 12/4 pin connectors Jeff

    new option for 7mgte coils?

89621-33020 is the 6-channel igniter used in the 94-95 Camry/ES300. 89621-35011 is a 3-channel igniter used in the 96 Camry/ES300 (and others). Another choice is the actual 1JZ/2JZ 6-channel igniter, which was also used on the 95 Avalon, it has 2 connectors instead of just 1 like the Camry...

    new option for 7mgte coils?

Also make sure you get one from a Camry with 6 coils. Toyota went to 6-coils and then later to 3 coils wasted spark, so get one from a sequential ignition setup. It's basically the same as the 2JZ igniter with a different connector. Jeff

    new option for 7mgte coils?

The reason the 2JZ coils work well is because they are quite short. Not saying these won't work, just that mounting and getting wires for them seems like it'd be more hassle than getting coils designed for a 6-cylinder that are already shorter. But, post resulting pictures if you do go for...

    whats the best timing belt

If you want to go OEM, get an OEM Toyota one, forget about getting one from another company. IMO, of course. Jeff

Just found a life saver or rather a back/neck saver.

It happens on my 2009 Corolla (which even has a cabin air filter). It can even be from the type of glass cleaner used. Often times it will leave a tiny bit of residue on the glass, and the dust from your vents slowly sticks to it. If the cleaner is not wiped off extremely well. On the other...
