So if you have no means of a boost controller nor shims, then I'm assuming you're on stock boost? Okay, well, are you creeping and then hitting FCO? If so, just how badly are you creeping? Sounds like you might want to invest into a new wastegate...or at least find another one from a used CT26...

Johnathan: When you say 4 "shims"...are you referring to "4mm"? If so, You should be at a little bit more than 8psi...maybe not TOO much more, but I'd think 8psi is a bit low for 4mm shims. And back to you, onefst: Just because your intercooler pipes are connected doesn't mean you don't...

Get in car. Start car. Wait for oil pressure to rise. Set turbo timer for 5 minutes. Get out...go back inside and finish doing my thing. Come back out. Get in. Start car. Wait for temp to go above "C" (20-30 seconds). Look at oil pressure. Pull out of garage. Drive away! :D...

Get those stupid shims off if you've got a manual boost controller! It's only going to stress the wastegate that much more... And if shimming your wastegate AND setting a MBC didn't up the boost any, you've got a boost leak (check your lower IC pipe as well), or you simply need to find...
