its either the hg or the cam seals, that cam backing plate made me think mine was a HG leak too... but once i took it off it was the cam seal...

now we know whos to blame..

i goto the local "good will store" or "st vincent depauls" thrift stores, there is always a box of transformers in the electrical section , maybe different in your town, but i doubt it..

ya, but i think i saw about 5 of the NES transformers when i was there last. probably a ton on ebay cheap too i dont like radio shack (here) anyways..but im sure they can help..

output should match the unit, it may work, its just for how long.. once you let the smoke out, its hard to get the smoke back in... ive had great sucsess with the local good will. always a huge box of transformers.. and usually just 50 cents..
