Alternatively, you could try harder to convince your customers that it's worth the money to get a full matched set. There's no substitute.

    Tire Placement Myths/Stupid People Q&A

From what I've heard.... Oversteer isn't the only concern. If the car doesn't have ABS, having bald tires in the rear can increase the likelihood of the rears locking up, which leads to a total loss of control while braking, esp. with an inexperienced driver that only knows "stomp the pedal".

    Engine Block: Worth Keeping?

Early - it's from an 88. Correct - he ground it down to prevent further cracking. I didn't do the cracking! The car came like that (as discovered in the first engine tear down). Any work down in that area was done by my engine builder.

    Engine Block: Worth Keeping?

So I have a bare engine block from my car that has a crack in an odd place on it. It is completely machined, decked, etc, is it worth selling or is it scrap metal? And here's what the block SHOULD look like:

The wire was off - Sean was by the other day and popped it on while I was at work... Car starts now and apparently he left it idling for ~20 minutes. I need to work out a couple little things, flush the oil, and things should be good to go!

    Catalytic converters

I've heard that different gasses sometimes don't play well with some cats. Try different gas stations and see if a smelly pattern emerges.

The crack is inside the place where the oil filter neck attaches: part of it was broken out.

I saw you driving the Supra down 2nd street today - you didn't notice because I was driving the invisible Honda, but the car looked good. :bigthumb:

Cracked part of the block: How the block SHOULD look.... Some pics of the car: The DD! Do you think my old block is worth selling? I'm thinking of just bringing it to the scrap yard.

Emilio's Rebuild & Improvement Build Thread

Ok, so I got back to working on the car. I replaced the HG with a new stock one - torqued down with ARP studs. The car is all back together and now it doesn't start - just a relay clicking and then nothing. I tried the battery from my DD, and same problem, so I know it's not the battery...
