^ Should be bolted to the trans... no problem removing it that way if you pull the trans w/ the engine.

^ Don't forget the oil pump shaft seal. Oil pan, oil pan drain plug, Oil Filter, oil filter mount, oil lines coming off the mount, oil line coming off of the oilpan, oil lines on the turbo... There are a lot of spots that oil can leak out of.

I've washed my engine bay 20+ times with 0 problems. Of course it was on my NA mkII, just dont use pressure and just spray it off and not 'soak' it. And keep it out of the plug gully with a towel thrown over it. But I dunno. Maybe mkIII's are different.
