Granted, I'm no material sciences expert, but here it goes...
Aluminum is a good heat sink because it is horrible at insulating. Heat dissipation and heat insulation are COMPLETE OPPOSITES.
Aluminum is bad for an airbox using principles from any number of classes I've taken. You want to...
I hate checking voicemails when all that they convey is a simple, "Hey, can you get this while you're out?" or "Call me when you get this" or anything else short and sweet that could have just as easily been translated via a text message that takes me literally 4 seconds to pull out my phone...
Nothing seems fishy so far. :dunno:
If she was trying to blow you off, no way she'd give you the hotline to talk with her mom, lol.
Maybe tell her you were surprised to talk to her mom next time you see/talk with her. Make sure to let her know that her mom sounded very nice and you hope you...
Might be fun for a short while, but I say put the money towards the "built" motor or better yet, mods you can enjoy with both motors.... like exhaust, suspension, interior, body, replace old moldings, wheels.. etc.
If you're trying to get rid of drone, why not KEEP the cat and add in a resonator between the cat and the muffler.
That way you greatly reduce drone, you aren't needlessly polluting, and you'll still have your cut-out for performance when you need to romp around town. :)
Mine does the same thing. I installed my own tranny/clutch and was afraid something was terribly wrong, lol.
I have been reassured by multiple people that I shouldn't worry and that it's hardly even audible. Here I am two years later and all is well...
Just figured I'd post an update:
HG job was done at about 277k miles. I just hit 293k and all is well. Can't wait to roll over 300k on the original block! :) Finally got around to replacing the damn 90 degree hose at the back of the head and now it is in tip-top shape.
I'm running 5W-30...
Congrats!
I'm graduating in a month from Mech. Eng. and boy has it been a long road.
Good luck and just think of the day when you can finally say you'll never have another Thermodynamics/Heat transfer/Calc3 HW due again.... ever. :)
Nice. I love my Toshiba, but I've used the Best Buy warranty 2 times AFTER the initial year. Had to replace the hard drive, cd-drive and screen.
I love my computer though. I'll be buying another Toshiba when mine finally eats it.
Not sure how you have it wired, but it if all else fails, wire it in using the trigger feed (switched output) from the headlights to power relays to run your lights.
That makes it cake to put the two together and you shouldn't blow any fuses powering the relays if you keep it simple.
I've gotten thumbs up from teen to mid 30's guys. Thankfully around here I mostly see older guys driving mk3's and not teen kids or kids my age, lol. Though of course, I consider myself well beyond the half-assed-rice-loving car guy days.
How exactly are you trying to remove them? Tried two nuts? Loosening by the rear one? Even after mine were stripped, loosening them still pulled them out slowly.
