They're Mustang FR500 replicas. Got them for like $450 shipped.
18x9+20, 18x10+40. The rears are also available in 18x10+22 I believe. The fronts are pretty hellaflush, but the rears tuck nicely.
I'd honestly say that you could fit the +22 offset with mild camber and no fender rolling. I think...
Ok, Here's a dumb question. Have you actually reached insid the turbo and spun the impellor? Does it spin freely for at least a couple seconds before coming to a stop?
I routed it exactly as per the Driftmotion setup was designed to be done. The only mod I did to the top pipe, was to cut about 1.5" off, where the pipe meets the throttle body.
The lower pipe was actually lengthened about 2.5", where it meets the compressor outlet.
I'll snap a couple pics...
Rears should work with a touch of camber with those tires, and possibly a bit of fender rolling is needed, as mentioned above.
I don't see the fronts working with that size tire, though. Not without ALOT of camber.
I cant say for sure, but I think early model dashes are essentially the same as late. As long as you are trading an NA early for an NA late model, or turbo early for turbo late, you should be ok.
The auto has an ECT light and maybe an O/D off. If you use an NA tach in a turbo, you need to...
Lol.
So, good news and bad news: I put everything back together, primed the oil system, primed the fuel, and it fired right up, no leaks(so far), and idled pretty smoothly.
The bad news: I started cleaning up and re-organizing my tools, and came across an O-ring I didn't recognize...then it...
Not far. About three hours' labor. I'm just waiting on that egr gasket.
Then I just have to reinstall the intake, upper ic piping, and coil set, etc. etc.
That's ridiculous right there- That's the whole purpose of buying shipping insurance!
Anyway- Got the injectors/ rail back in, along with a few other things, but quit for the day, since I realized that I needed a new EGR pipe gasket, so I just ordered one.
A big thankyou to Fuel Injector Clinic of FL, for being so stand-up in their customer service:
My injectors went missing in the return mail(as I mentioned), and the owner of FIC(Yenz, I believe?) said he would send me a new set of their injectors + adapter plugs free of charge in a couple days...
So...the bad part of the story is:
I get home from NY, and there's no box of injectors waiting for me...
I call FIC, and they say that the tracking number shows that the injectors were delivered on the 24th. I doublecheck my front step, and garage door area, to make sure I didn't overlook the...
Yeah, you kind of have a good point. Adam- i award you no points!
They charged me $88 for flow testing, shipped. I think that includes new o-rings too.
