I don't believe you have to do anything other than remove the plastic trim. I have a parts car with most everything removed. I'll look at it in the morning, and let you know.

Paint fade/cracking.......it's that way on both bumpers, and on my roof. Car still looks pretty good, but paint is in it's future for sure
