Regarding looping the lines...Does it really add alot of feel to the steering? Is it a nightmare as far as around town driving? Ive got 245's all around...do I need arms like Hulk Hoagan to park? Is it possible to loop the lines without removing everything first to see if it's gonna work for me...

One small correction...manuals put more power to the rear wheels...not necessarily to the ground! You guys are always bashing automatics.

Before I replaced my HG mine started gushing oil from the back of the head (started a small fire) so I guess antifreeze leak at head gasket is possible but definitely check the two hoses at the back of the engine first.

Best advice I can give you is suck it up and tough it out and you'll be better for it. Knowledge and character just don't come cheap. Most of us have felt discouraged at some point or another...that's what separates the men from the boys.

Problem with a helicoil is like MKiiiNA said "slivers of metal in cylinder". You could try to vacuum out through the plug hole but you never know if you got all of the shavings and if you didn't kaboom!

Did you use the oil pump from your old engine? Is the oil pump in this engine new? How's the oil pressure? If the oil pump aint getting it your engine will make a sound similar to what you describe. Good luck.
