When i replaced my 17" flatpanel with my current 19" widescreen...WOW - now THAT was a difference. Brighter, better contrast, better response time and so much crisper...not bad for £140 :)

CRE - i dont suppose you have a schematic for the stock circuit, do you? Seems like it would be pretty easy to make a dozen or so PCB's that way, and you could have a 'roll your own' failure module, and would ensure that members can get parts when the existing stock of second hand and new ones...

telnet isnt installed by default on machines with vista - but its in the add/remove programs control panel.
