Is it Possible to swap Valve Covers?

...and about 1/3 as cool as the 5m/6m valve covers. Not even a 1/10 as cool as the old 2m's... ;) Man, you must get exhausted pushing that thing that far at one time...

what is this and where does it go?

I'm thinking this is what we're looking at... I've usually seen them bolted to the alternator though, or at least that's what my memory of the last time I saw an alternator out of a car is telling me anyway.

    stock dyno numbers

Err... did someone install your 7m sideways? :p Back in the 60's/early 70's, sure. My 01 SS was "rated" at 335hp. I forget where the dyno chart ended up, but the car in reality made something like 244whp, or 250whp, something like that. Was kinda sad, but it wasn't in the best of condition...

    Diff/case Upgrades?

Another suggestion, check with these guys, they seem to be doing something right with their car... http://www.supramania.com/forums/showthread.php?165301-Monster-Performance-9.73-140mph

What did you do to your supra today? Pics

Welcome to the club. Six years ago, I was in your shoes sir, I knew a little about working on cars, like changing tires, spark plugs, and had recently replaced the water pump on my old TE72 Corolla... then dove head first into the Mk3 world with only basic tools and knowledge. The post below...

    stupid supra problems

If that is the case, do what I do: remove the boost controller during the colder months. You'd be surprised how easily 14psi comes up on you when it's -15°f... Also, I would check to make sure your wastegate isn't shimmed. Previous owner of one of the Mk3's up here had the bright idea to use a...

    2JZ S14 240SX.... aka "UGR Lambo Killer"

I uh... might need some new pants Jeff. Thanks for that. ;) Last video doesn't work btw.

My, what pointy ears you have... :p Looks like fun. :)

    Supracharged Prerunner

My apologies man, I can tell it is a serious rig in the making, I didn't mean to imply otherwise. :) What you have going on is EXACTLY why I just don't "do" trucks. I can't afford to start another addiction. :p

    Metal Heads Unite!

Have seen them at least 4 times, probably 5 though. I really wish I knew what I did with my old concert ticket stubs... Would see them again for sure. They played a few years back at our local annual "fesival" (read: beer drinking event :nono: ), but unlike all the country bands that play, they...

Sad day for my celica :(

AC just not working well on yours? Surely Wes could fix that for you... unless it didn't come with it in the first place, which I would find odd. Look on the bright side though, you live in a city of 5 million + people, something stupid is bound to happen to that car if you drive it long enough...

Not sure where to post this message... so this seems a safe start..

I agree with IJ's sentiments, as long as it is done nicely. If I had a dollar for every time I saw an SBC hastily stuffed into a car that didn't come with one, half assed, and leaving puddles bigger than pancakes everywhere it parks... well, I wouldn't have to work. :p Welcome back though. :)

New to 1JZ swap idea, please help

You say all that now... all those big bad diesel guys think they're fast (in relation to other trucks, sure), because the torque makes them feel fast, but in reality, a decently powerful car with at least half the power will eat them alive most of the time. Hence, my Hello Kitty sticker...

what is this and where does it go?

Something to do with AC perhaps? Any other angles of the picture, so it is more obvious what you're talking about? I'm guessing it is the plug that looks to be about 3/4" diameter, 1-1.5" in length, in the top-right corner of the picture? Edit: What engine is this on? If it's a 1j, it might...

Upgraded rad and fan for 2j?

Fix that, first off. Remember that any air that can go around the radiator, will. Make sure it goes through the radiator. I have a PWR (about as thick as they come for the Mk3) and a 1j. Clutch fan is out of the question in my case. However, I have an OEM setup from a Ford Contour, that is...

Bring back the Kaminari 3 piece spoiler???

Err... good luck man. I would love to see it happen, but I'm neither in a position or personal desire to help with this one. Heck with it, I say, in the name of cost effectiveness. My Regulus has no mounting hardware, but that hasn't stopped us. If you know what you're doing, mounting a spoiler...

    TE37 rims help.?

Think you would need more tire if you had less wheel? Rubber bands only offer so much grip, right? That said... it looks good. And you might be the first person I've ever seen with such an aggressive setup say that "less would be better". :p

    7MGTE headgasket blew...what should i do next?

When the engine comes from a 92 Supra, and it was going into the 89 I have... merely needed to wire it into the body harness. If you know what you're doing, and happen to have stuff laying around the shop that you can make work, then it really isn't as hard or expensive as you make it seem...

What did you do to your supra today? Pics

Looks like you work at a Toyota dealer. Wish ours was as classy, it is in a former grocery store. :p If my buddy Rich and myself get together, we have 5 Supras between the two of us. Four Mk3's, and one Mk2. All but one (my 87) run too. :) I dig the AZSC sticker on the valve cover... gives me...

    The Small Questions Thread

73709 is merely the bracket that holds the seat belt latch for the rear seats. I just took them out of my 87 yesterday, there are two of them. What I still don't understand, is where is this "third mounted high for the top tether system" that you speak of? I've never seen that part, or anywhere...
