    College Football kickoff

ND, owned again. I just do not see the hype. And it is coming from some really good football analysts too. Oregon looks tough. Maybe they will be a legitmate challenge to USC this year. A win like that is a big confidence booster.

    Ticking when boosting...?

Pre-ignition. Try better fuel, or run richer. The GE also has more aggressive timing.

2nd hottest summer, hottest in 1936

This didn't really have anything to do with that, but ok.

A new concept - weigh in political thread regulars!

I even like the name of the site. Opensecrets.org Political donations are a matter of public record. The right recieves more money through more donors. The left recieves their money through big donors and PACS. Both take PAC money, don't get me wrong. But look at the top ten...

A new concept - weigh in political thread regulars!

On top of the George Soros, Bill Gates, and Ted Turners of the world, the PAC money is much bigger on the left also. The "grass roots" donations are larger on the right side. I am at work, when I get home, I have a link I will post for all the donations to the parties. The full truth will be...

    Meguiar's Cleaner Wax Rocks!!!

That is pretty much what I was going to say. The guys in that worked in our detail shops used it for their own stuff.

Anybody in or around Vegas? Just wondering what the fillups there are going to cost.

A new concept - weigh in political thread regulars!

The DNC has waged a mighty war of deception, and done very well. A great deal of people I meet are right wing, or at very least, 3 of the 4 I listed, yet vote left wing. They think Republicans (and Libertarians) only care about their rich friends, another lie that has been beat home that people...

    Ported intake manifold

On the factory 5.0 Mustang EFI manifold, the results are very good. The CFM increase isn't huge, but it does go up, and distribution is much better. Keep in mind, that is a stock 5.0, not a Supra. But airflow typically goes from low of 85%, meaning lowest flowing to within 5% of high and low.

A new concept - weigh in political thread regulars!

Having Katie Couric, Kieth Olberman, Dan Rather, Brian Williams, or any other news broadcaster call somebody or some one right wing, or left wings, does not make it so. When I do that, I am refering to those that believe in socialism, and it the function of government to provide for your well...

    Ported intake manifold

If money is growing on trees, you can always pick up a manifold on and Y pipe on ebay, and ship it to extrude hone. They are expensive, but it is very effective.

    did a compression test today

I would like to add to that. Normal 4 cycle internal combustion engines burn oil during normal use. They are designed that way.

    air system problem...

If it leaked out, it is a normal problem. The seals won't last forever. Take it to a qualified a/c shop. You need a set of manifold gauges to properly diagnose the problem. edit: you live in Canada, just roll your windows down.

    Quick question before oil change

3 months/3000 miles is a definetly not needed. Search on JJ and adjusters oil threads. It is well documented. The biggest problem with oil is dilution from blowby, due to not reaching operating temps when driving. Being dark in color has shown to not be really a detriment.

    Quick question before oil change

Well, that schedule is absolutely correct. I have never had rodknock in this car or any car I have ever owned. Oil starvation is the main cause of rodknock. I suggest you follow the schedule. But it is your car, and your money.

    Oil pump and bearing failure.

Not to say anything about the first poster, he is just repeating what somebody else told him, but it comes from the idiots that say an engine that is a little low on oil is better than one a little overful. Don't aske me where it comes from though.

    Coilpack relocation done

That does look like a good idea. The GE uses that spot for the vacuum resevoir and switching valve.
