Using the formula to calculate horsepower, since it is calculated, and not measured anyway, your cars are overrated on power.
It comes out to 269, not 270.
;)
Ah yes, a heat spacer. They are quite useful in theory, and in practice. They have been around a long time, and are used on EFI and carb applications in the domestic market. Yet, it is something you haven't seen, so it must not work.
Ever stop to think that in the grand scheme of things, you...
Some of you need to ride tricycles they way you brag about destroying engines.
5 for me overall. Mostly very good in the reliability department. One of them I had the head decked .020" and a valve job just because it had 130,000 miles. Then I leaned out the vane airflow meter, and it burned...
The car makes about 230 horsepower at 6.8 psi. The speed tolerance, due to mass production and engine load, is 5.5-7.5 psi. The automatic tolerance is 4.8-6.0 psi.
This is factory stock.
IPT does more than shim the accumalators. So does Level 10. But that mod will make the A340E eat a 5 speed alive. And your trans will last a lot longer.
Area of a circle, remember that? Area times the stroke times cylinders. The stroker kit only makes about 3.2 litres. You do need a large overbore to hit 3.6.
Different belt driven superchargers yield drastically different dyno curves and drivability.
A centrifugal supercharger has no bottom end to speak of. Lag would be an understatement.
I want to make a suggestion. But that is all it is. It would be extra work, and I think you do enough as is.
Ever hear of the Engine Masters Challenge? It is a contest on the dyno, where peak number only contributes to the score. So does torque, and the average over a range. Because that is...
