    Gt4082 Vane style turbo?

The computer varies the vanes in response to boost and exhaust back pressure based on various engine loads and speeds. How do you plan on controlling it yourself? On International engines it is also the waste gate that works with the integrated engine brake. (in place of the jake brake) And with...

    Nos 7mgte???

Of course it does. More than half the automotive community is incompetent and can not diagnose nor repair cars.

News from Jalopnik New Supra? UPDATED INFO from JalopniK

It doesn't seem so for Ford. The real problem is Toyota management has lost its way and no longer thinks Ray Croc and Sam Walton did it right. And then we elected a Kenyan born, American hating (his words) Nazi for the white house.

Ball Bearing VS Journal Bearing and size!

It seems like the CT26 is a .44 A/R My Boss Jr is .58, and it pulls positive to 6000 rpm. You make that sound like it isn't enough on a street car. ;)

    Nos 7mgte???

Well, is it NOS (Nitrous Oxide Systems) or dynotunenitrous.com? NOS makes a wide variety, and I am not familiar with the second one. (I know you didn't phoentically misspell the fake word "Naws")

News from Jalopnik New Supra? UPDATED INFO from JalopniK

I didn't say it was right. That is their take on it. I agree with Sam Walton (not his liberal kids) and Ray Croc. Ford starts the new Mustang GT about 27,000 optionless. I think it goes for about 32-35k on average MSRP. That is a great deal and a great car. It can be done. Toyota doesn't care.

News from Jalopnik New Supra? UPDATED INFO from JalopniK

A dozen years ago, Toyota said " We are not a Sports car company". Why should they be when they can't keep 4Runners on the shelf, and they have a huge margin. They said if they sell a sports car again, it would be in the Lexus line. So they can charge whatever they want. Say, 300,000 or whatever...

Code 31 (MAF) but weird symptoms

Your car doesn't have a "MAF". This is why it goes before the blower and not after. 31 means nothing about whether the air flow meter works or not directly, but it states that the signal the ECU from the airflow meter isn't being input. Now, the airflow meter might be dying. Or you have a bad...

    front face intake manifold

Before and after the throttle body is not the same. A larger plenum (which is really where a FFIM gains) lowers velocity, but has higher CFM. Potentially much higher with a really large plenum and shorter runners. The manifold will have no change on how fast it responds, unless the intake charge...

    Coolant temp sensor

Did you unplug the sensor yet to see if it changes how it drives? It is "behind" the steering resevoir.

Get a Tahoe/Yukon with its giant radiator and giant condensor. Or move to Flagstaff like I told you. :)

oil on top of pistons and in spark plug holes?

The spark plugs are sealed by the galley cover in all cars that are OHC. Or some other device, like a tube you see on the 5SFE. After 20+ years, they leak. The valve cover gasket can lean excessively, and oil can still be stopped from entering the comubstion chamber.

    Intercooler, whats best?

Do you know what lag is? That is the amount of time the compressor needs to reach speed based on the engine output (heat) and the turbine design. The piping for the intake does not factor into it. Even with a crappy turbo. Remember, when the turbo is trying to push "boost" and a number on the...

    Possible Damaged Vane Type AFM

Toyota really annoys me with their crappy airflow meters. Why they didn't pony up and get the hot wire mass airflow sensor from Hitachi is beyond me. Fuel cut would have been solved long before the Lex meter via the same route. Larger meter and injectors.

Lex/560s wont go rich even with lots of fuelpressure and safc tweaks

Toyota lists the TPS as a minor correction factor in the manual. Not a major factor. Maybe 3P can show just how much. Other manufacturers put more emphasis on it, because it relays the drivers intentions.

    Intercooler, whats best?

Turbo magazine back in the day did the testing. As soon as I see the back issue on ebay or in the store, I will buy and post it with my other articles. Cartech showed 89% effeciency and just over 1 psi loss at 14 psi. Stock is 68% effeciency and 4.3 psi lost at 13 psi. HKS checked in at 78%, and...
