    Advice on Megan coilovers..

I DD my car just fine, bumpy roads and all. I guess it's just a matter of personal preference. As long as your tires aren't huge and you set your height high enough, you won't rub them even if you set your car soft enough to enjoy some of the comfort that can be had... Just remember that stiff...

    Wheel Fitment & Question Thread

As for tires, here ya go guys, this will answer a LOT of questions if you're trying to keep your speedo somewhat working. ;) http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html Rodel, your car is gorgeous. Just needs to be said. Joe, as for wanting a 4-5" lip on a 10" wide rim, you're gonna be looking...

    Advice on Megan coilovers..

I have the Megans on my car... for the price, they're not bad. If I were buying a set that didn't come on my car, I would probably save up for the JIC's, but that's me talking. As for the Megans, they're fairly easy to adjust, but even I could spend probably a week just fine tuning and balancing...

    Wheel Fitment & Question Thread

I wonder though, if I do space them out a bit, they'll probably stick out of the wheel well. Never much liked that look, and I think custom flares would be more trouble than it's worth. My whole desire for having the ability to turn more is to keep things in check if the ass end gets TOO far out...

    Wheel Fitment & Question Thread

Good lord... 153 pages? Forgive me for not thoroughly doing my homework, but I have a simple enough question. I run Mk4 TT rears on all 4 corners. Is there anything I can do to keep the wheels from rubbing the A-arms, other than spacing it out? They sit fairly flush as it is... I'm wondering if...

2009 Colorado Toyota Meet (June 28)

I would be double repping (Mk2 and Mk3, possibly a friend's XRS as well) if my Mk3 would be finished by then, but I haven't even gotten the 1j back together yet, sooo... it's not looking likely. However, if Dan (GotBoost) shows up, you guys are in for a real treat, his car is gorgeous! ;)

2009 Colorado Toyota Meet (June 28)

I'd love to be optimistic here guys, but I'm not so sure I'm gonna be able to make it now. STILL waiting on my machinist to finish porting the head. He's a really busy guy with a well deserved reputation around here though, so the shop has been crazy busy. If by some miracle he's gotten that...

2009 Colorado Toyota Meet (June 28)

Sounds good to me if I can make it. Haven't started the car since last July, the 1j is going in soon enough hopefully. If it runs good enough to satisfy me by then, I'll try and make it. And why wouldn't you wanna come to Rock Springs? There's just SOOOOO much to do here! :p

    SySt's Build up

It's true. Try driving a solid axle car sometime. I mean, it's fine on smooth roads, and the SS does handle fairly well, but throw a bump at it mid turn, and both your rear wheels react at the same time, causing your car to swing out. It's a rather poor design for a sports car. I know I should...

Awesome man! Did that fix your mileage issue at all? Another alternative to o2's would be sims. My SS would throw codes all the time because the cats are bad/clogged/etc. Pair of o2 sims, problem solved. You know, I honestly envy this project a bit. You have the engine, AND the car. I mean, I...

2009 Colorado Toyota Meet (June 28)

Err... including my two, there are at least two others that I know are driven on a somewhat regular basis, a couple friends of mine. Dunno how often they're on here though. Aside from the three of us, there are actually a surprising number of Supras AROUND here, but hardly ANYBODY has a...

    2JZGTE MKIII Swap Info

No, what we're (at least I) am saying, is that you shouldn't bother with trying to track down the stock ecu. Get yourself a standalone of some sort and be done with it. Besides, after you buy all those piggy backs and things of that nature, you'd have nearly spent that much ANYWAY. Standalone...

    SySt's Build up

Hmm... I could have sworn the 7m was a couple hundred pounds lighter than a 1j... my 1j/R154 pallet of goodies weighed ~800lbs, with a good bit of extra stuff. Like EVERYTHING other than the fan. Would need to get a freight quote for the same thing about a 7m, but it's a moot point, really. ;)...

    SySt's Build up

That sounds about right. I'm no chemist or anything, but from personal experience, I know aluminum is a HELL of a lot lighter than iron. Once picked up my buddy Nathan's LS1 bare block, it couldn't have weighed more than 80lbs... Beautiful thing. :)
