this being said, im 19. 3 years 5 cars, im on a roll
remember to check it thouroughly for rust in critical areas that were mentioned before. the great thing is that they have enough torque to let the clutch out slowly and roll :)
more of a pain in the ass than you think. the l28t is more like putting the turbo motor in a non turbo supra and the sr20 has been done before but you need to worry about the mounts, wiring .....ect.....
check under the carpets, especially in the trunk near the shock towers, and check the frame rails from underneath. check the gas tank as well. i was looking at quite a few of those before i found the supra, and those were the problems that i found.
if you get it screw the l28 in there, get a...
the 4.0 is literally bulletproof. my friend has been trying so hard to kill it for liek 2 years now and he hasnt. he even ran it without oil for a while and it is still going strong. needless to say, my family owns a 97 grand cherokee, and it is wonderfull in the snow. also does great 180s...
take out a personal loan from a bank. as you are living on your own, i take it that you have a source of income? find a nice person from a good bank that will let you do this.
i found that backing into spots has made it alot easier :) anything under 5 MPH is a pain anything over it is ok. maybe its just the lack of extra weight i have up front (no turbo, ABS, TEMS)
'The first turbo motor to be used on an acura' hahahah, what bs. the HP kicks in at 6k and the tq at 4.5k, with the redline at 6.8k. doesnt seem like a bad idea but the actual suv looks like ass. seems like they are trying to take over subarus corner of the market.
my recomendation to you, if you are going through ct durring rush hour, try and take ct-15 before you hit new haven, there is construction going on there. and its a much prettyer ride on the merrit lots of trees and stuff.
