By hand. Took them at the gaps and expanded them just enough to get over the top of the piston and into place. You think that had an effect possibly?

Not sure of the brand. My bro bought it at the parts store awhile back. I just know I didn't really have to force the pistons in. So I don't think I cracked any rings while installing. Of course inspection may prove otherwise. ;)
