    wideband error with open wastegate?

I've got an open wastegate on mine and the wideband is very responsive to changes that I make at WOT. If 10.5 is bottomed out on your wideband, it may take pulling quite a bit of fuel to get it back "on the chart". Take it to a dyno and compare your wideband to thiers if you aren't convinced of...

    HAC hacking

I don't think it'd be worth the trouble, as the adjustments would be across the full RPM and load ranges and not significant until you get close to the limits of the sensor output. Ideal put it a bit more bluntly than I would have... Wise contributor :icon_redf

    June 11: Englishtown

Definitely keep tabs on meeting points on Supraforums in the NE section. There will be plenty of mk4s there too! LI guys and gals should be rallying at the Canarsie piers at 7AM on the 11th.

    EFI Fuse Blowing!!!

Look close around the EGR tube at the back of the intake manifold. The harness can get pretty close there and if the one little plasic clip breaks, it is laying on the red hot pipe, melting thru.

    poor oil pressure indication

You are welcome. Only one little correction, I realized that I remebered backwards, lol! After consulting the TSRM to be sure, wire off should be guage down, wire grounded should be guage up. Sorry!

    poor oil pressure indication

My stock guage reads 35 psi @ hot idle so, it is possible for it to work (it is correct as well). The easiest test for the guage and wiring is to remove the plug from the sender, turn the key on and check the guage, it should be all the way up. Then, ground the wire and check the guage again...

    Supra sounds like a chopper!

M10x1.25 if I remember correctly, it has been a while. Take one of the studs out and bring it to a hardware store to be sure. You'll probably end up needing to helicoil all of the stud holes in the head.

GM Vortec 4200, The NEXT big thing...

GM hasn't been too enthusiastic about turbochargers lately. They've been targeting a 200,000 mile average life expectancy for all major engine components and it seems there aren't any tubos that can meet that standard and not cost more than the rest of the car. They may give in but, I kinda...

VIDEO: ok now someone tell me whats wrong NOW ;)

Sorry, I missed this. ECU ground and chassis grond aren't always the same thing. The key item in the ECU ground is that it isn't noisy, electrically. It wouldn't hurt the ECU but it may not work completely correctly either (mess up the readings it is interperiting from the sensors). I haven't...

I'd do a voltage drop test on the ECU ground.

    rod cap

It actually says 140 degrees in the manual. I can't say why it does though, it hasn't been nessicary in my experience. They put the snap rings in the pistons for a reason.

    rod cap

What? The 7M pistons use full floating wristpins. Remove the snap ring from one side and turn that side down, the pin will fall out, unless it has siezed in wich case you'll need a set of pistons anyway. Supraboostin- You'll need a new cap and resize the big end of the rod. Same goes for if...

    Wide-Band o2 question.

Some widebands have the ability to emulate a narrowband output, even change the A:F of that output. In that way, you can fool the stock ecu into running richer or leaner closed loop than normal with certian widebands. The real value of most widebands is in the datalogging. Bieng able to...
