That is a common problem with 60-1 Upgraded CT-26's the trust bearing on them is only a 270 deg. Its not made to handle the extra load that the 60-1 wheel puts on it. Rebuilding it will cost you quite a bit depending on the total damage. I have seen thise take out compressor covers, compressor...
Na I fixed that, built engine now just trying to track down what killed the first engine. We are redoing all the wiring and hope to have it back up and running soon.
For simplicity I went with a 2jz water pump on my 1jz and now have the same on my 2jz. If you do swap to a 2jz waterpump you will need the pully as well (if I rememeber about the same cost as the pump from Toyota). If I was doing it again I would not put any e fans on it and get a stock crank...
I have had both a 1jz and a 2jz in my Supra both single with the same size turbos. The 2jz hands down is more fun to drive and makes more power down low.

First of all Sweet car, nice build and awesome parts.
I would be very very carefull with a standalone and Autotune. Its a great idea but its normally only used for fine tuning of a map and not from scratch. I have seen a car lose and engine with some one tryingot use the auto tune to get it...
X2
I watched some one try and use the Auto tune on there Aultronic and it cost them an engine. Do not rely on it at all, its great feature for the last bit of tuning if any. You still needs good tuner to get it set up and running safly.

Haltech E11 Randy, do not go cheap now.

p.s. Not that eather is a bad option but I think the Haltec offers some more fetures and is somthing you can grow with.
Yes I was and how is it unsafe if I have the fuel? Were did you I say it was all stock? When I put on the Profec-B I was running 18-19 psi on the stock turbos with out any problems(over a year). Once they started smoking I went to a large single and ran that at 24psi and 550whp. Toyota Ceramic...
With my 2jz swap using 1jz brakets and poly mounts my sump was about 1/4 in away from making contact. I have not had any problems with it hitting though.
I belive BIC mounts get the engine up high enough that you will not have a problem.
I would sujest looking for boost leaks, damaged turbos, restrictions and do you have a cat? With the same mods I was getting 1.1bar with out a boost controler.
Good luck.
To be totally honest I can care less its just funny to hear all the bench racing for years and never see anything. Then to tell a guy that has a proven track record (Tony) that he is going to be the slow guy there is a bit arrogant.
I'm sure either way there will be a good show if you guys...
Man I hope for you guys sake you can put your cars were you mouths are.
For two guys and there cars that have not even been in the 10's to talk with such certainty that 9's are a for sure thing is hilarious!:aigo:
