    2009 Corvette

What i dont understand is, for the price it sells at, surely an extra $1000 for independant rear suspension would be warranted.... As for the interior - i've been in a Corvette before and the interior smelled like a plastics factory and was paper thin, to the point of being embarassing to be...

In other words, i'm correct. Enjoying that cheap shit interior and ancient engine descended from the plant of Hades? ;)

Overclocking - Are you one of the loonies...

Not hard to do, but when you consider even the Pentium E2160's blow the D's out of the water in terms of performance per clock, its not hard to see why people dropped the PD's ;)

    2009 Corvette

Still ancient OHV crap....and probably still using cheap plastic interiors, leaf springs and i'd be surprised if there was an LSD on it...

Overclocking - Are you one of the loonies...

Make sure to get one of the last batches of Q6600's then. Cheap and decent multipliers for overclocking...

Overclocking - Are you one of the loonies...

Heh - fans are only needed if you have a crappy cooling system - i only have 2x80mm case fans (one in, one out) and they're almost silent. The loudest thing i have is the Zalman, but even that can be turned down with the aid of the fan controller.... As for the Powerbook...well...sell it and...

Overclocking - Are you one of the loonies...

I'm considering the Abit IP35 Dark Raider as an upgrade - i dont want crossfire or sli and the DFI Blood Iron was looking good until there was no firewire or eSATA support on it! Memory...well i got a 4gb kit of this G.Skill and although its Micron D9, its the Rev E 'HNL' series so its not too...

I had considered the eVGA step up, but to be honest, i'm happy with this card now, it'll do me for another 6 months :) And lap your CPU - made a drastic temperature difference to my dinky E4300 :p

They're cheap at the moment, although depends on whether you want a cheap upgrade or another 5/10% more performance when the new 45nm E8xxx and Q9xxx series come out in a month or two.

Overclocking - Are you one of the loonies...

65*c under prime isnt unheard of. Most of the time, 100% full load on both cores is almost unattainable unless you're running some serious encoding. Even Crysis only taxes both cores to about 85% and the chip hits only 50*c or so under load.... 1.45v sounds about right for 3.6 as well - its...

Overclocking - Are you one of the loonies...

Orthos is like multithreaded Prime95, so both cores get tasked with full 100% load. Doward - i think it might be the limit of my motherboard more than the chip itself. Perfectly stable at 373Mhz FSB but 375 = fail no matter what voltage i use. I'm using the Rev 1.x P5B-E so theres no NB...

Overclocking - Are you one of the loonies...

...like i am? :D I'm already a member of OCForums and XtremeSystems, but i had to share this with y'all: Not bad for a CPU that cost me £70 and is only supposed to run at 1.8Ghz :D 100% stable - Orthos is still going as well....load temps are still only 63*c as well....i'm glad i lapped...

    duh, supras have V6 motors...

Yep - Taunus V4 engine. Used in the Cortina, Granada, and Ford Transit Vans in the late 60's early 70's. The V6 engine was a development of it, hence why ours had 2-port exhaust manifolds, and the US market had 3-port - you could drop the V6 into a V4's engine bay with NO mods needed.
