charcoal canister delete on the mk3 bad?

Very much agreed IJ. Although I will say that my buddy's FC RX7 picked up quite a bit of response as a result of removing its emissions bits, and oddly enough, his fuel economy has been surprisingly decent for a rotary that isn't treated kindly.

What did you do to your supra today? Pics

I gotcha Leezy, that just seems painful otherwise. I guess the car has a lot more suspension than that kart did too...

There are some people who do fast, there are some people who do nice. Seems you might be one of the people more in that latter camp (at least until you're done making it nice, then start with the fast), but I couldn't be happier to see that. Still an inspiration to me, and part of the reasoning...

    Picture of the Day!

You might wanna have that checked out man. My uncle died of an inflamed crotch.

    1jz intercooler size

Kelson, with that gearing you should be quicker overall than a car like mine that spools sooner. If I didn't intend to use my car on the highway a bit, I'd probably go 4.30 myself.

    2011 V6 mustang vs Stock 1JZ?

Would if I could, but this isn't my section of the forum to moderate. I'll see if someone will take care of it though.

Widebody: S2 front fenders and Kaze Aerocraft rear fenders (Shineautoproject Replica)

You know, we have our share of spending problems in this country, but apparently tires are not one of them... I never realized how bad it was elsewhere.

What did you do to your supra today? Pics

That looks... painful, to say the least. I've sat in a seat like that on a mini-sprint one time, I can't imagine driving a street car with a seat like that. Then again, that's what, about 55 lbs gone? I have not. I don't browse the build threads very often (would be on here way too much), but...

Black interior looks good on our cars. As does blue, gray (light or dark), or even the tan/brown that came in it. Unless you're one of those unfortunate souls who got the truly 80's burgundy interior... in which case I sympathize with you sir.

    Metal Heads Unite!

You mean when the guys in Metallica cut their hair? :p Has anyone mentioned Machinehead yeat? Probably one of my favorites from the 90's. I'm starting to realize that you're right though... Metal as a well-exposed genre really did kinda die off in the 90's. I mean, the old bands were still...

Help me pick a website URL for my business! (with pics I'm a photographer, come see)

Agree with all the above. Keep it simple, keep it short. Either way I suggest you give up your day job and drive that Firebird across the country, taking pictures at every good opportunity. ;)

What would your 1st hand gun be?

Basically anything that stops the spinning of the drum or prevents the hammer from making contact disables them, correct? As a note, it doesn't hurt to be good with a knife either, just in case things get close enough that a gun might not be the best choice. Don't know about the rest of you...

    Picture of the Day!

Where are the sails? :p I kid man, looks comfy. If these are the types of pics we get, keep it up! I used to take a lot more random pictures than I do anymore, that and I don't get on here quite as often either.

1946 Chevy Fleetmaster 2-door, meet "Betty"...

Latest minor update, just got a box in the mail yesterday, with my flapper discs. Face shield came in last week, so work on cleaning up the worse rust will commence tomorrow I think. Gonna try and get this one out of the way so we can focus on the Supra (the 87 widebody-to-be) in the spring time. ;)

    Saved from the crusher

Did I shit my pants when riding in it? Errr... don't tell Andy. ;) That thing was a blast. Lot more car than I could have handled at that time (would probably still be a handful), like I said, it ruined what I thought "fast" was. To put it another way, he had no trouble breaking 275 Kuhmo...

    WTK : 2JZ-GE VVTi IGNITER

Define a hard start. Is it not cranking when you turn the key? Does it sputter when it's trying to fire up? Do you have any stored codes on the check engine light? To diagnose it, I would recommend (if possible) using a known working igniter. Not like you can remove it from the system to...

    Importing a Supra?

Some places are very lax on what they'll allow on their roads. I would be willing to bet you could get away with it where I live, as long as the car has something that resembles a VIN on it in an official, legit-looking manner. I wouldn't recommend driving it anywhere where it IS an issue...

charcoal canister delete on the mk3 bad?

I would love to know this as well, not too easy to shop for 1jz OEM parts in this part of the world. I read through that tech article that jetjock posted, and in the testing of the evap system, it mentions that a properly functioning system should flow around 25L. My question then, or more a...

    1jz intercooler size

Hitting full boost at 3500 on stock twins? I gotta ask a couple questions, I have a hunch: -What altitude are you at? -Do you still have the stock y-pipe? I hit full boost about 3000 rpm, usually starts around 2500-2800, but it comes on pretty suddenly, and I'm at 6500' elevation. In Vegas...
