put a bit of oil in manually.
pulled the efi fuse and cranked it over until oil pressure was built up.
i then let it idle for about 5 minutes.. went inside and got cleaned up.. then took it for a 10 minute drive and it is almost as though my car has a deeper tone to it.. and exhaust feels more...
I just recently bought a "rebuilt" CT-26 from a guy on the forum.
New compressor wheel, and I beleive new shaft etc...
I put it on (pretty straight forward) and it boosts fine. However for some reason it makes a weird noise at times (kind of like what a tire sounds like rubbing on the...
I believe i have the same problem. However, it is only when my engine is cold and I boost in say 1st or 2nd gear. It momentarily hits fuel cut, engine light comes on, and within a second its back to normal! Now when I say boost when the engine is cold, I do NOT mean just after being first...
I had this problem as well. Sometimes it wouldnt go away sometimes it would. I tried burping it several times. Didnt work!
Turns out it was the early stages of a BHG (which i now just replaced) and havnt heard a damn thing since!:)

Thanks for all your help...
My machine shop checked it and said it was all within spec. there are numbers writtin on my head where the valve covers go that are like 9, 9, 8, 10, 10 etc...
I'll start out by saying before my head gasket "blew" (slightly), my compression was between 165-170.
It was starting to show symptoms of a BHG (air bubbling out when I take rad cap off, misfiring, running rough...), so I tore it apart and started the HG project.
Had the head machined, new...
Thermostat could be stuck open. Unplug the connectors on the thermostat housing. Take out the two bolts on the housing and check your stat in a pot of water on the stove to see if it opens at the right temp.
(what I would do is just replace it anyways! doesn't hurt. cut the jiggle valve out and...
