does yur CEL come on for a few seconds before you start your car? if not then its not wired correctly or someone removed the bulb in the cluster or its burnt out. as for the sputtering have you checked your plugs?

yea it was a florida guy who keeps popping ECU's. it was me haha yea so i got the ECU fixed and got it home and put it in only to get a constant CEL. oh man i almost exploded. then realized that i didn't have my 02 sensor cause i let another buddy borrow mine and then i REALLY exploded!!! oh...

for the fuel something definitely aint wired right. as for the cranking and losing power i would definitely check the power wire and grounds on the ecu

mine smoke SOOOO bad at idle. i still drive mine. well not since the ECU crapped out again. i ran mine at the track smoking like that and raced it every week around town. no noise just smoke. i still went 13.7 @102 on 11.7 psi! but im going single now haha

if you have no CEL when you first start the car it sounds like the ECU has a bad ground or just isn't getting power. try checking codes by jumping E1 and TE1 in the diag. port. if the CEL just stays on yur ECU is toast
