Check the wiring to the knock sensors. There are two of them on the drivers side of the block. Mine had a wire that had come loose. There is also a kit that you can buy to rewire them. I think it's sold by Shaeff. I may be wrong on that though.................Good luck.

The trannys are the same. I used a r154 out of an '88 turbo to replace my '91 automatic. It wasn't that hard really. There is all kind of info on it. A couple of people even made like step by step picture instructions. I can't remember who it was, but I'm pretty sure I found them here. Good...

When I had mine painted, it was called blue metallic. I didn't get it from a Toyota dealership, but the paint store told me it was my stock color............lol
