I didn't read all nine pages of this so if someone else posted it, I apologize...........not.
Finally the MKIV's take a back seat on this one.............:evil2:
If Ryan sees this shade of blue, he will die of multiple organisms...........:biglaugh:
Do you like the JE better than the CP IJ..............reminds me of a ........
Did you know you can't give the UPS an IOU on a COD or they'll call the FBI. Sorry, but I'm easily amused.......:biglaugh:
Mark, I know what you mean about the 1.5 turning out to be difficult. I thought it was...
At least you tried to rescue the damsel in distress Noah. It seems his car is like Vondas and has a mind of it's own. Hopefully he'll come up with some answers before he loses his motivation. If my motor doesn't hurry up and get here, I'm about to lose mine.
You can buy a clip from www.driftmotion.com and it will have everything in it you will need if you keep everything stock.
You'll have to check and see if they have any in stock, but that's the only place I would buy from. Aaron has been a great help to me and others that have bought from him.
I got a call today from the company I"m getting my block from and UPS denied the package due to weight so they're having to send it freight. I then had to find a company willing to let me have a motor sent to their place of business. Hopefully now it will at least be on it's way here so I can do...
You can look at my build up thread here and towards the end their is a lot of technical stuff about the head gaskets and compression ratio. The head fits easily onto the ge block, and everything else except for the waterneck fits easily too. You can also get a lot of info from www.clubna-t.com ...
BJ, I don't think I have your number unless you sent it to me in a pm.
What do you guys think of these rods?

I have a set of stock gte rods, so I don't have to buy any...
By new you mean the $2300.00 one from toyota? I thought about going that route myself, but when I found this ge block for $250.00 I thought I'd give it a try and then take my time building the gte block with new parts.
It doesn't make me feel any better knowing you blew your hg. I don't get any pleasure out of others misery. What head gasket was you running? Are you using a ge or gte block? Stock pistons? Just a few questions I'd like to know the answer to if you don't mind, and good luck on the new head...
You got kicked off of a drag strip for being too loud..................WTF?
Yet one more reason I'm glad I live in the south. The only rules we have at our track is:
1: If you're quicker than a 7.0 in the 1/8th, you have to wear a helmet.
2: If you have a passenger in the car with you...
Since the Crips color of choice is rojo, and we all know I can't stand to be in the red, I'm going with the East Side Ballers...........Chino sinners forever esse`
When the block gets here, I will get you the deck height. I'm ready to start making some definitive decisions on this build. The weather is way too pretty to have my car sitting on jack stands. I'm about ready to just drop a 22R in there and be done with it...........:biglaugh:
Thanks again...
I don't have any gte pistons. I'm using a ge block with stock ge pistons for now so I can get it running. I plan on building the gte block that I just took out of it with some new cp pistons when I get some money. If I had some stock gte pistons, I would use them. Hopefully I can get the cr's to...
