How does the engine react with 3in piping from the filter to the turbo then 3in pipe to the intercooler and then 2 1/2 to the intake? I would think that i would have more volume to the intercooler then the speed of the air would be higher going into the intake . Maybe i am wrong on that on...

Try pulling the distributor and put your crankpulley mark on 0 degrees then set your distributor to fire on #1 spark plug wire, sounds like that is your problem, You could be out of time 180 degrees. Here is a link to the bible ,Save it and dont lose it ..This will save your butt many times...
