Eric, my 1jz cams would sound pretty loud at times when first getting under boost. Since I've put the 1jz head on the 2jz, they seem to have quieted down some.
Do you still have a copy of the camcard for the 1jz cams that you sold? I've got to reshim mine and I'd like to know what clearance...
There's no need to rebuild it Ken if it's running fine. Have you did a compression test on it? That should tell you a little bit about the condition of the motor. You can replace the main seals, cam seals, and oilpan gasket and you should be good with the oil leaks. What are your plans...

Should I just pull the motor out and start over? I don't know what to do. I'm going to shim my valves, and hopefully try another turbo, but other than that, I don't have a clue what to do.............:dunno:
If your tires are breaking loose at 80mph, you probably need better tires. Good kill on the G8, I haven't had the pleasure yet. What are the specs on your turbo because I may be in the market for one.

I just talked with Bryan and he's on his way with Shawn's car. I can't believe he's driving 2600 miles one way.........twice.........I'd slice my wrists about half way there and just bleed to death on the side of the road.
